One of Tyler's high school buddies got married on Saturday.  The bachelor party was actually a month ago and Ty flew up for that.  He drove up for the wedding and brought his new girlfriend, Megan with him.

Megan is a high school English teacher, a native South Dakotan, and she ropes in the rodeo.  She also happens to be a gorgeous red head.  Tyler had requested a family get together on Thursday, the only night he didn't have wedding activities planned.   I invited everyone and the turn out was pretty good considering it was a week night.  Megan took the whole clan in stride.  In fact, she wowed the crowd.

Tyler gets massive thumbs up from everyone on this girl.  Tyler has exceptional taste in women.

I never did get a chance to ask her what she sees in him...

Friday was cold and wet.  We went to brunch at the Longfellow cafe, then back home to play scrabble (Zack nipped Tyler at the finish and both of them crushed me) and watch movies.  It felt like Autumn for the first time.

Saturday the sun and heat came back.  Megan walked around Lake Harriet with me, MJ and Katie.  We took our time and visited the rose gardens, too.  Ty was off doing wedding stuff.  I was under orders to deliver Megan to the church on time.

The last thing in the world I ever want to do on a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon is get all dressed up and go to a wedding.  I hope my kids all get married in February.  There's nothing else to do in February.

I never got to see Ty in his tux.  I hope he sends me some pictures.  Megan looked like a million bucks.

Sunday it got colder and the wind started to blow.  Today it's blustery again and feels like fall.

I just hope Saturday wasn't Indian Summer.

On the other hand, I started serving jury duty today so nice weather isn't going to do me any good at all.

Sooooo boring.
