Our lovely president tell us this is the worst economic downturn in history.

Do these people ever do any research at all before they open their mouths to make these proclamations?  Do they just assume everyone will take them at their word and that no one remembers the past?  They must.  For starters, there are a few folks around who actually lived through the Depression and they say it was even  worse than this.  I believe them!  I've seen Cinderella Man!  Those people shared a slice of fried baloney for dinner!  For dinner!  They shared  it.

For seconders, I'm not even fifty yet and I remember the seventies with inflation, stagnation, gas lines and malaise. Sounds like a good name for a sandwich, but believe me, you wouldn't like it.  I also remember the recession of the early eighties, when GDP fell twice as fast as it fell this last quarter.  Am I saying times are good?  No, I'm saying times are bad enough without exaggerating.

For crying out loud, you can take an aspirin for a headache.  You don't have to convince me you have a brain tumor.

So why are the president and his flying monkeys exaggerating?  Why, so they can pass this kidney stone of a "stimulus" bill, that's why.  Only the worst economic times EVER could justify dumping such an over reaching, meddlesome and  incredibly expensive mortgage on our kids, grandkids and great grand kids.  The party in power, the Democrats, don't want to ever pay this money back.  They aren't interested in where the money is coming from or who owes how much.  They are only interested in perpetuating their own power and if that means taking all of your power, so be it.

It would be bad enough if this actually were a stimulus bill, designed to promote job creation and prosperity, but it's not.  Little by little, the projects being funded by this boondoggle are leaking out, exposing this thing as the payola that it is.  Five billion to ACORN? I said FIVE BILLION TO ACORN???  And that's just one instance of political payback in this feculent gasbag of a bill.  Why do you think the majority party cares that none of the twelve Republicans left in Washington are on board with this thing?  It's so they have a patsy when the shit hits the fan.  This thing isn't designed to jump start the economy, it's designed to be a permanent millstone around our necks and they know it.

The Democrats aren't engaging in socialism; this is Munchausen's by Proxy.
