Yesterday was 84 degrees here in town.  MJ and I walked around the Lake with the baby.  It was great.  We invited Katie to join us but she was indisposed.   Katie felt much, much better by this morning.  She couldn't remember most of the night but the bag of vomit she found in her closet was testimony to a ripping good time.

Today was cold, bleak and gray.

Josie and I had to be up at St. Charles by ten this morning for a volleyball game.  We drove over the new 35W bridge for the first time.  Exciting.

St. Charles has a nice enough gym but no windows or apparently any venting at all. The place smelled like a dirty  shoe.  A really big, foul, stinky old shoe.

Our team won in two sets.

Back home, I had to paint a pair of Vogue covers.  I thought it would take all afternoon, but the first one went so fast that when Katie called and suggested a march around the lake, I decided I could afford the time.  After that, I painted the second Vogue, went to the grocery store and cleaned the kitchen.

Jay grilled us up some lamb chops and we mourned the passing of Paul Newman.
