Yesterday; did all the puzzles in the paper.  Finished by 9.  Got online, surfed til 10.  Went upstairs and painted a large Christmas stocking,  a 14x14 sunflower design and  a 12" boot style doorstop.  MJ called at 2:30.  Went to her house and pushed furniture away from 2 walls, taped the floor, layed a drop cloth and I painted the baseboard while MJ scrubbed and sanded the large picture window.  I had hoped to get a second coat of paint in the wall that I painted on Saturday but ran out of time because I had to take Josie and Meg to Karatee.  Left MJ with instructions to prime at least most of the picture window frame.  Thought about going back to MJ's after dinner, realized I was too tired and that's how enormous mistakes are made, like knocking over entire gallons of paint onto an unprotected hardwood floor.  I didn't go back.  Made steak sandwiches for dinner out of the leftover flank steak that Jay had grilled a few nights ago.  It makes fabulous sandwiches.  Couldn't find my copy of Kite Runner, which I had finally gotten around to starting, so I started another Isaac Asimov novel.  Watched Frequency, starring Jim Caviezel and Dennis Quaid.  I'd forgotten most of it, so I really enjoyed it.  Besides, JIM CAVIEZEL AND DENNIS QUAID!  What's not to love?  Fell asleep.  Woke up in the middle of the night to another wild and crazy thunderstorm.  Ran out to shut the windows on the porch, only to bump into Jay, who had beaten me to it.

Today will be a bit lower key.
