Last week, Jay called to say that he was stopping at the store to pick up something to toss on the grill for dinner.  On the way home, he passed a friend's house and saw them out working in their yard.  He stopped, told them to get something for the grill and come on over.  When they got to our house, bearing not only steaks for themselves, but cake for all of us and several bottles of wine, they said they'd already invited a mutual friend to their house for dinner, so they'd called him and told him to meet us at our house.

He brought more wine.

As we sat down to eat, my brother, Andy and his wife, Vi came strolling in.  They'd been passing by, noticed our front door was open and decided to come check out the orange living room.  They had already had dinner, but were up for wine and cake.

We polished off the entire cake and seven bottles of wine.  It was a blast.

Katie had worked late and came home long after we'd all gone to bed but the next morning she said "The Curry's were here, weren't they?  The evidence was everywhere."
"Yep.  Andy and Vi showed up too." I said, gathering up empties.
"That sounds really fun." she said.
"It was.  We didn't plan anything a wound up having a dinner party."
"That's a casual sunday."  said Zack.

Tis.
